Suresh chopane is a well known personality in chandrapur.he is born Sawarla in wani tahasil of Yavatmal district.he took his early education from Welabai,a small village from Wani tahasil,then he studied at Lokmanya Tilak college,wani.he has done post graduation from nagur,Nagpur university.He started his teaching carrier from mahaveer jr.college,Wani from 186-1992.then he joined Bhawanjibhai Chavhan jr.college,Chandrapur in 1992 onward.he is a recipant of National teacher award by human resource development ministry,Deli for his extraordinary work in the field if environment,science research.He also is a recipent of National science populariser award from Marathi vidnyan parishad,Mumbai.he is recipent of environment award by air India.Suresh chopane also received many awards in the field of science and environment.

      He has discovered 12 fossils sites and 13 stone age sites in maharashra.He has established Suresh Chopane Rock Museum'at his residence on all his geological discoveries.He has written hundreds of articles and news items and many papers.He has written two books,' Universe'and back to Nature(Nisargakade paratu ya).He is working in many organizations in India .He is a founder president of Sky watch group and green planet society.He is a life member of Indian science congress (govt.org),confederation of indian amateur astronomers,Delhi,Vidarbh sahitya sangh  Nagpur,marathi vidnyan parishad Mumbai,Indian science writers ,Mumbai.and many such organizations.
       He is working on many govt.committees.he has been appointed as regional empowered committee of Ministry of environment ,forest and climate change,deldi since 2014-2018,heis a memer of district peace committee,environment committee , mineral foundation and education committee .he was a master trainer of State national green corps and teachers training programs of central and state government.
        He is an activist in the field of environment and science.He is founder of environment org.universal academy in 1995.he started writing and agitating against pollution in chandrapur and maharasthra.he also founded Green planet society an org.in the field of forest,wild life and environment pollution.He was a leader of big agitation against Adani coal mine in chandrapur and declaration of buffer zone for Tadoba.he is still awairing students,teachers and people at large to conserve or environment,forest and wild life.inside and outside the government he is fighting hard to make our world to be a good place to live
