Reduced Pressure Electron Beam Welding :''''Bold text' Conventional electron beam (EB) welding is conducted in a vacuum chamber of the vacuum of 10 to 3 mbar. However, an EB gun that can emit EB under the near-atmospheric pressure is developed based on the differential evacuation type transfer columns. Thus, the reduced pressure electron beam (RPEB) welding process with mechanical vacuum pumps is developed. The allowable range for the material cleanness is increased, and the shorter evacuation time is realized for enlarging the application fields of EB welding. The Yucca Mountain project in USA has selected the NiCrMo-Alloy 22 of 33 mm thick as the packaging alloy for containing radioactive waste materials, and the RPEB welding method is the potential candidate for welding the alloy. The gas-tungsten arc welding (GTAW) method needs 250 min to complete the butt-welding of the thick wall tubes, and the RPEB welding can complete the welding only in 9 min.

now what i am looking at is some good manufacturers of RPEBW machines in asia. Bold text
