Over following days and weeks, newspapers reported the same accident:

  • 1901-Nov-22: The Cambrian News and Merionethshire Standard. [5]

The accident occurred a few days before, and this seems to be on Friday 4th October, 1901. A full accident report is available as Day Log/1901-10-04

The accident was a derailment, and occurred near Plas Tan-Y-Bwlch the residence, not to be confused with Tan-y-bwlch the railway station.
