Taylor Maddox[edit]
Taylor Jasmine Maddox (born September 29, 1998) is an American fashion designer, music video, film, commercial, documentary, and creative director. She is known for winning Chattanooga Fashion Expo's first Sustainable Artist Competition with her design "Rushour" for both Judge's and Audience's Awards in 2021[1].
Early Life and Education[edit]
Born in North Miami Beach, Maddox grew up in Miramar, Florida where she attended Greater Miami Adventist Academy. She was raised in a religious environment by her father, who worked as a Pastor, and her mother, who worked as a nurse and part time realtor. Her father is African American and Caucasian, and her mother is European-Jamaican.
Maddox earned her degree from Southern Adventist University in 2020.
Career[edit]
Maddox launched her sustainable cut-and-sew fashion company Madd.apparel early 2021. Shortly after, she was headlining in urban fashion shows all around Chattanooga, TN, featured in magazines across Tennessee such as Voyager[2], and spoke on the Chattanooga Hip Hop Summit fashion panel in 2022[3].
Maddox started directing fashion promotional videos in 2021. With the founding of her film production company, U.Madd in 2023, she started creating music videos, commercials, and short films.
