Hello! I was born from a bamboo,so my handle is Take(竹,bamboo)+tarou(tarō、太郎、a popular name for males,e.g. Ryōtarō Shiba) >tale of princess Kaguya . I live in Tatebayashi,Gunma Prefecture,Japan which locates in the north of the Kanto plains. I am interested in the culture and nature of Ryomo area. This area consists of the east of Gunma prefecture and the west of Tochigi Prefecture. Nikko and Ashio mountains and Tone,Watarase river make a cultivated and rich land. We can crop wheat in early summer and rice in late autumn at the same field. This is called Ni-Mou-Saku(二毛作),and the chinese character Mou(毛) is also used in this area's ancient name 毛野国(Ke-No-Kuni). This coincidence shows that this area was rich from ancient age.
Yama-no-Kami also lives in Akagi,Ashio and Nikko mountains. She comes to Kanto plains in spring with strong wind and brings blessing or crops and returns to the mountain in fall. So in Gunma(上州,Joshu) wives are stronger than husbands. we explain this custom as 上州名物、かかあ天下にからっ風(Joshu meibutsu Kakaa denka ni karakkaze). By the way my wife is stronger than me!
