From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Email Ideas was an American software company that created the Bojo, a graphical email signature and conglomeration of social tools. Email Ideas was headquartered in Johnson City, Tennessee, with offices in Dallas, Philadelphia, and Charlotte.

History[edit]

Email Ideas was co-founded in 2004 by John Cannon and Rick Sears. The company's first generation product was called an "eCard". This was changed to Bojo, a French slang term for "greetings", "best wishes" to reflect expansion into the blogging and social networking markets in addition to professional markets. Bojos are active in 50 US states, 13 Canadian provinces and territories, 25 countries, and 6 continents.

In late 2004, ZFX Vice President John Cannon joined Charlotte businessman Rick Sears in creating Email Ideas. Drawing on creative and technical talent from both of their former businesses, they put together a team to develop the first Bojo, at the time called an "eCard", strictly for use as an email signature.

In 2020, Email Ideas announced that it would be closing.[1]
