I'm Tango Tizer Wolfstone, or Lee, and this is my quite tired userpage. I've been editing Wikipedia since January 2009, though it wasn't until early 2010 that I fully got into the gist of it, and at any rate I didn't create this account until August 2011.

As is evident from my edits, music is the lifelong primary joy in my life. Not that favourite genre lists are often meaningful but areas within the fields of rock, pop, electronic, dance, experimental, soul and folk music particularly hold interest. On Wikipedia the main thing is writing articles for albums – beginning in 2015, I decided that to write 'full-length' (at least in my head) articles (whether creating new ones or hugely expanding existing ones) for records where the coverage is out there, but in all sorts of disparate places, was the way forward, not least as it'd give me some sense of accomplishment, as for years beforehand I wanted to do album articles that would match the quality of the many great ones I read in the late 2000s-mid 2010s.

At first I was pretty abysmal at it, but in the years since I think I have got much better and become more intrinsically familiar with editing standards. Indeed, as I've grown on Wikipedia, most of the articles I have written or contributed to by now are about music and especially albums (although some music is not naturally geared towards album format, and I may address this at some point with more song articles).

Other interests tend to fall into nerdy territory – hill figures, follies (especially those local to me in Wiltshire and Somerset), television idents and presentation (my favourites being the BBC Two '1991-2001' idents), British comedy shows (favourites include Comedy Vehicle, The Day Today, Only Fools and Horses, Red Dwarf and early Royle Family), crap game shows, 1960s–2000s Doctor Who, adverts for Tango and other brands, and the UK singles and albums charts (as in, yes I'm interested in the music, but also the charts in and of themselves). I'm a wannabe novice music writer too; I run a blog, have contributed to a few publications etc.

My friends are WhittleWaffleBass, PorridgeTF2, Flyest nihilist, Myxomatosis57 and on-off collaborator Humbledaisy.

Brand new TangoTizerWolfstone look for May 2012! But I didn't trade in a Lambretta for a three wheel van!

A fact from the article To the Batmobile Let's Go, which this user created or significantly contributed to, has been featured in the Did you know... section on the Main Page.

'Full' articles I have written/rewritten/contributed heavily to[edit]

Alton Barnes White Horse, one of my own creations (the article I mean, not the horse itself) (This terrible caption has appeared on my userpage for years. I will leave it to fossilise).

As I imagine is the case for anyone else who writes or re-writes 'full-length' (by which I mean what I consider B-tier length) articles for albums (and generally I prefer to create new articles or expand on stub/start-class articles), I focus on examples I enjoy and find interesting, hoping to ensure they get informative, neatly curated coverage. Originally I focused on obscure records I believed were of some importance (even in a very niche way), and although I've done a few well-known albums, I generally prefer working on articles for albums where a good, healthy amount of coverage exists (via the web, magazines, books; I love tying together the most disparate ends where applicable), but not an endless, anxiety-inducing amount of material. My Wikipedia skills have improved over the years, honest, so while many early articles are messy or just bad (in terms of prose, refs etc.), I now think, if I may say so myself, that my current work is of a good standard.

It would appear that, among my friends, the best-known Wikipedia page that I've written is D. I. Go Pop, which is still one of my longest although, if I was to have written it today, I certainly wouldn't have approached it the way I did back in March 2016, as it's in a right state if I'm honest. Confessions of a Pop Group was another potential favourite of mine, as it was when I wrote it, but it needs clearing up not just a bit... the time will come.

I don't just work on (as it were) feature-length articles for albums, as now and then I've done this for several other interests of mine, like (ahem) KX telephone boxes, the Tango advertisements Orange Man and St George, The Pepperbox folly, and several local hill figures, including Alton Barnes White Horse, Broad Town White Horse and Devizes White Horse. So far my only fully fledged Wikipedia collaboration is the Himself article with Humbledaisy.

Examples thereof[edit]

Some of the articles I worked on when I was much younger aren't as good as those I worked in later years, and the list is incomplete anyway as there is a few pre-2016 articles not listed, but here's the bulk of the work

Albums:

Others:

Additionally, here are some articles I have otherwise worked heavily on but not 'completed' (filling in all the gaps I can think of), as it were

Articles I've created[edit]

Note as of 2021
I never remember to update this list. I don't think I have since about early 2020 or something. I'll get round to it eventually.

While the above list is full-length articles I have written or rewritten, here is a scroll list of articles I've created, no matter how long they are (so that includes a lot of the ones in the above list and a lot other articles that are just stubs or not very big). This list is nowhere near as interesting as the above one, if I may say so myself (indeed, I think I've missed a few out but am not terribly interested to go and find out to make sure, cus that's hard work that can I can put into editing instead).

Here's a few more I made on my friend's old account Lewi6400

Yeah, super Ralph, the big orange fella's come up and expanded Orange Man so it's a well-sourced and good read.
