From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Phil Marwood is a musician from Toronto Canada specializing in deep house music. His interest in music began at tender age of 8 when he would watch as his older brother during private piano lessons in their home in Clarkson Mississauga. Soon after, he learned to play the piano preferring to improvise and play by ear rather then take formal lessons.

He started DJing in 1988 for local school dances and at age 15 was playing gigs for university and college parties. By the mid-nineties he was djing regularly across North America.

After learning the fundamentals of studio engineering and recording, he founded Soundtrack Recordings, a deep house digital record label that would later host many of his own productions.

In 2009, Phil Marwood releases his ambitious house builder, "Pieces". The release garners support from the worlds top house music producers such as Tony Humphries, Robert Owens, Glen Underground, and Ashley Beadle.
