Reflective glass beads new article content ...

Reflective glass beads are small beads made of clear glass that reflect light ^[1]. These beads are retroreflective, which means they reflect most light back towards the source of the light.

Reflective glass beads are used to make items reflective so that they can be seen more easily in dark conditions. Road surface marking paint contains reflective glass beads, creating lines that are easy to see at night ^[2]. Some types of traffic signs incorporate glass beads into the surface, to increase their visibility.

Reflective glass beads are used to make retroreflective fabrics used in high-visibility clothing, such as that worn by construction workers, emergency service personnel, hikers, and joggers.
