Boston Blackie is an American old-time radio detective drama.[1] It was broadcast at various times on ABC, CBS, NBC, and Mutual beginning on June 23, 1944 and ending on September 3, 1950.[2]

Format[edit]

The Boston Blackie radio program was an adaptation of the Boston Blackie character that appeared in films as far back as Boston Blackie's Little Pal (1918).[3] That film, in turn, was based on a story of the same title by Jack Boyle that appeared in Redbook Magazine.[4]
