From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Brooklyn Eagles were a professional baseball team that played in the Negro National League. They were owned by Abe and Effa Manley.

The Eagles came into existence during the 1934 meeting of the NNL, as the league admitted the expansion team owned by Abe and Effa Manley. An agreement with the Brooklyn Dodgers provided for use of Ebbets Field for Eagles' home games.[1]

Ben Taylor managed the team.[2]
