If you don't like VisualEditor, you can add this userbox at your userpage. The most common reasons to turn off VisualEditors are:
- The editor is buggy and it needs improvement.
- Power editors are more comfortable with source editor.
- VisualEditor takes a long time to load, so, it is a problematic tool for having slow internet connection.
- Editors just don't like it.
