Andrew Tinpo Lee (born May 31, 1968) is a Chinese-American actor. He is best known for the role of Mr. Hsiao in the Disney+ original series Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.[5]

Early life and education[edit]

Lee was born on May 31, 1968, in Castries, Saint Lucia of a Chinese descent.[6] At the age of 1, Lee along with his family moved to the United States of America.[7] After completing his formal studies in high school, he then studied acting and writing at UCLA. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in English literature, he moved to New York City and began working as both a copywriter and an actor.[8]

Career[edit]

Lee's first acting role was in the 2001 short film, In the Eye, in which he played Richard. Since this he has made appearances on shows such as, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, General Hospital, Criminal Minds, Kidding, & Five Points. As of 2021, Lee has a recurring role on the Disney+ original series, Doogie Kameāloha, M.D..[9] Lee landed the recurring role of Frank on the CW television series, Kung Fu in 2022.[10] Lee has been credited with acting in over 30 films and television shows.

In March 2024, it was announced that Lee had been cast in the 2025 film entitled Final Destination: Bloodlines[11][12][13] which is the sixth installment of the Final Destination film series directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein.[14][15][16]

Personal life[edit]

In 1998, Lee married psychologist Jennifer Dormer.[25][26] They currently live in Manhattan Beach, California with their three children[27][28], one of whom is actress Peyton Elizabeth Lee.[29][30]
