Craig Gottlieb, (born 7 June 1974) is an military antiques dealer, writer and lecturer on militaria. He is best known for uncovering the desk set used for the signing of the 1938 Munich Pact.

Personal Life[edit]

Craig comes from Jewish ancestry, and was born a father who is a decorated WWII veteran. He started collecting coins as a child, and became more interested in militaria after serving as a commissioned officer in the USMC.

Military Antiques Dealer & Author[edit]

While still in active-duty, Craig began collecting original military daggers. He created a website in 1998 to began selling them. He now travels the world to seek out one-of-a-kind pieces, specializing in German war-related antiques. His expertise is regularly called upon to identify and verify military antiques such as Totenkopf's Ring and he is a noted lecturer on military history.

Discovering the Desk Set used by Hitler to sign the Munich Pact[edit]

In 2010, Craig discovered the used by Adolf Hitler in the signing of the Munich Pact of 1938. Procured from Hitler's Munich office by 2nd Lieutenant Jack McConn in 1945, it had been with their family ever since. Craig is auctioning the set the fall of 2011. [1][2]

Craig is the author of "The SS Totenkopf Ring: An Illustrated History from Munich to Nuremberg" and "History's Jackpot: Investing in Antique Collectibles". [3][4] He recently guest-starred on the TV Show Pawn Stars and is currently in pre-production for a militaria show he'll be hosting (2011).
