The Art League is a non-profit arts organization based in Alexandria, Virginia. It consists of a school, a gallery, a store and an outreach facility. The organization is currently housed in the historic Torpedo Factory on Union Street on the Potomac Riverfront in Old Town Alexandria.

Founded in 1954, The Art League, Inc. has over 1,000 artist members. Member artists participate in monthly, juried exhibits in the gallery. The Bin Gallery, a separate space connected to the main gallery, offers artists a chance to display and sell their work every month in the gallery. Member artists are eligible to become a member of the Bin Gallery once they have been juried into a minimum of three membership shows during the year.

The Art League School is a non-accredited institution, open to all, that provides instruction to nearly 7,000 students annually.

SOHO (a Space of Her Own) is an award-winning art mentoring program serving low-income at-risk pre-teen girls in Alexandria. The program was developed in collaboration with The Art League and the Alexandria Court Service Unit. Girls and mentors participate in a 16-week arts and life-skills program, concluding with the redecoration of the girls' bedrooms. "By providing stability, a nurturing and creative environment, and by promoting and developing meaningful intergenerational relationships, SOHO has successfully helped improve the lives of dozens of girls in Alexandria to date."
