Together with her husband Neville Blech they owned The Crown at Whitebrook, the first ever restaurant to hold a Michelin star in Wales. It was awarded the star when Sonia Blech was the head chef and Bryan Webb an apprentice in the kitchen.[1]

Sonia Blech was the chef of Mijanou restaurant in London's Ebury Street[2]

Mijanou restaurant opened in 1980.[3]

It was said that they had a restaurant team whose style 'remains unchanged by fashion. There's no crostini or sun-dried tomato on the menu of their essentially French restaurant.[4]
