What about templates?

In relation to this task, TSB does not edit any templates. The lists which it runs off of are listed in the BRFA. That does indeed mean that there is potential for templates to point to redirects. However, Number 57 has previously agreed that he will resolve this and has identified affected templates. In the meantime, no links are broken and readers would most likely be none-the-wiser as old links still work.

What about the old titles?
Old titles for pages (what they are moved from) are preserved as redirects and therefore bookmarks etc would not be affected and the reader would just be moved to the correct page.

Is this task exclusion compliant?
No, it would not make sense for this task to be exclusion compliant as it must affect all pages which need updating.

Task 2

What templates are being removed from Drafts?
{{orphan}}, {{uncategorized}}, {{underlinked}}, and {{unreferenced}} are the templates being removed from Drafts.

Why is this doing this?

Having templates such as {{orphan}}, {{uncategorized}}, {{underlinked}}, and {{unreferenced}} in the draft namespace do not make sense. Drafts, by their very nature, are unindexed and should not be linked to in articles. The links would be removed by most editors and potentially lead to confusion and frustration for new editors trying to learn the ropes. Based on this, it is better for everyone if these templates are not in the draft namespace.
