Football Club Misfits[edit]
Football Club Misfits are an English six-a-side team based in Essex. FC Misfits play in the Basildon Sporting Village Youth Premiership. FC Misfits have won a solitary title in their short history, lifting the coveted 2010 Basildon Street Football 5-a-Side League Title. The club also earned respectable finishes in the 2010 Macro Thurrock World Cup and the 2010 Basildon Sporting Village Youth Premiership.

Football Club Misfits were founded in a Science lesson in the summer of 2010 by Reece Woolmore, James Boston and Jack Gunter in preparation for the 2010 Macro Thurrock World Cup. The trio recruited fellow Hassenbrook School students and relatives for the tournament. Woolmore scored the first ever FC Misfits goal in a 2-2 draw in the tournament opener. Woolmore also scored the first ever winner for FC Misfits in the following match in a 1-0 victory. FC Misfits were extremely unlucky not to qualify, missing out on the semi-finals by a single point.
FC Misfits did not play another match until their title winning season in Basildon Street Football 5-a-Side League. Age restrictions and injuries forced FC Misfits to change the squad, with Anthony Barrett and Charlie Baker forced to miss out. Woolmore would however recruit Daniel Spellward and David Clayton for the season. FC Misfits took the league by storm, and were unbeaten for the first five weeks, wrapping the league up with two weeks to spare. This would prove to be the last time FC Misfits were to enter a five-a-side league, as the league win saw them promoted to the Basildon Sporting Village Youth Premiership.
In their debut season in the Basildon Sporting Village Youth Premiership, FC Misfits earned a respectable 6th place finish. Woolmore strengthened the squad by bringing in midfield player Bradley Gowing and Utility Player Dale Morgan-Challis for the season. FC Misfits would finish 12 points off title winners Mayflower and 11 points ahead of bottom side Bait Patrol. FC Misfits would contribute some sensational performances throughout the season, beating eventual Runners-Up Alliance Youth 6-1 as well as 6-2 victory over Scorgasms. FC Misfits would entertain the watching crowds with countless high scoring affairs, including a 4-4 draw with Barcabona and a 4-1 mauling of Reem Machines.
The squad is currently participating in the 2011 Basildon Sporting Village Youth Premiership and are looking to build on their 6th place finish last season.

FC Misfits in Popular Culture[edit]
As well as footballers, many of the FC Misfits stars have other interests outside of football:
- Former FC Misfits footballer Charlie Baker has a string of successful beauty salons opening called ‘Baker’s Fakes’ after his iconic fake tan became the image of the FC Misfits at the 2010 Macro Thurrock World Cup.
- FC Misfits forward Jack Gunter has opened a successful look-a-like business after being mistaken for Neil Diamond, Keith Chegwin and Terry Wogan on numerous occasions. It is said that the likeliness of the forward to the already mentioned celebrities has earned Gunter millions of pounds in appearances at award evenings and the opening of new shopping centres.
- Midfielder James Boston has released a set of retro t-shirts based on the ‘Frankie Says Relax’ design. Highlights include ‘James Says Five’ and ‘James Says Close the Textbooks’.
- Goalkeeper Cameron Day has released a new rap single based on Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Black and Yellow’. The new single, entitled ‘Blue and Yellow’ is in reference to the team’s famous kit colours.
- Dale Morgan-Challis has successfully made the transition from footballer to TV Chief. Morgan-Challis is said to have cooked for African royalty and guys named Princess.
