Ryan Christopher Willis (born 30th June 1993) is a young English magician. He was educated at St Thomas' CE School and Queen Katherine School, both in his home town of Kendal. While there he saw magician Chris Cook performing, and inspired along with his friend he turned to magic and illusion as a hobby. He went to see his roll model Derren Brown with a friend in Blackpool in 2009 and his performance style often mimics Brown's
Personal Life[edit]
Ryan was born in Kendal on the 30th of June 1993 and lived there until the age of 7 when he moved to Nafferton in East Yorkshire. He spent 2 years there finishing out years three, four and five, before moving back to Kendal with his family at the age of ten. At the time of writing he is taking four A levels in the sixth form of the Queen Katherine School; Sociology, Maths, Philosophy and Ethics, and English Literature. In his free time he enjoys unicycling and playing the piano.
Taffy Thomas[edit]
Early in 2008, Ryan went on work experience with Story-teller Taffy Thomas MBE (made story-telling laureate in 2009) and got involved with his projects and the traditions he and his family and following have and has since performed at many of the Story-teller's events, often with another magician. It is a little known fact that Taffy used to be a circus performer and has perhaps taught Ryan a couple of his more unusual tricks.
