The 8th Utah Senate District is located in Salt Lake County, Utah. The current State Senator representing the 8th district is Kathleen Riebe. Riebe was elected to the Utah Senate in 2018.

The 2011 Utah State Legislature passed legislation redistricting Utah's Senate Districts. This legislation took effect during the 2012 General election, and [[]] became the Senator for the 8th Senate District, which .[1]
