"Will Löhnes" (born December 20, 1986) is the founding member, guitarist, songwriter, and producer for the bands Thelemic Cult Group and Vörher Musik Group. He has recorded five studio albums with the former, and in 2011, VMG released their EP "Eleven".

Early life[edit]

Löhnes was born in North Dakota. He attended high school at Cheney High School in Cheney, Washington. He mostly did recreational drugs; however took an interest in Indie production. The lack of any programs gave Löhnes the freedom to pursure his post high school audio technician pursuits and eventually led to his low profile technician positions. Löhnes cites hating Pink Floyd as a youngster and being underwhelmed by their performance. This became the catalyst for wanting to be involved in music. He spent several years doing sound for Cheney,Spokane, and Devils Lake bands.

Recording career[edit]

Thelemic Cult Group[edit]

Löhnes functioned as a guitar technician for History In Violence during the tour and recording of Grizzly Grip, working with Rio Lobo Welshula, whom he met in 2007. During this time, Löhnes played Welshula some of his songs, and Welshula offered to play bass guitar if Löhnes ever decided to form a band. Despite originally considering a female bassist, Löhnes would eventually accept Welshula's offer. In 2008, Löhnes founded Thelemic Cult Group, and invited Welshula to join in as the bassist.

Vörher Musik Group[edit]

Will Löhnes is currently actively involved in his new electro project, Vörher. Löhnes handled nearly all the instruments in the studio for the release, except the drums for which he recruited Otis J. Chaw. The first single, "Verzerrung," gained some internet play, and the band toured for the album throughout 2010.
