Oslo Innovation Center is a center for research and innovation located in Oslo's Gaustadbekk Valley close by the University of Oslo's main Blindern campus. More than 140 small and large companies, research groups and institutes are located here. Their main business is R&D in the fields of biotechnology, medical technology, IT, media, research in materials, electronics, the environment and society (see the complete list (in Norwegian)). The complex has five buildings where over 1800 people work. These have to be distinguished from some of the neighbor buildings such as SINTEF and Ifi's buildings which do not belong to the actual Innovation Center. The Oslo Innovation Center supplies entrepreneurs and startup companies with advice and resources.
