About Me[edit]

I earned a B.S. in Biology from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 1994, and a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2004. I have worked as a high school science teacher, an automotive sales consultant, a Dale Carnegie Training consultant, and various ministry positions in local Baptist churches.

Prior to returning to law enforcement, I worked as a Crisis Counselor for Volunteers of America Greater New Orleans in the Louisiana Spirit Hurricane Recovery program. My family and I were living in the Northshore area when Hurricane Katrina hit in August 2005. We evacuated to north Louisiana during the hurricane and sustained only a few losses. (TIP: prior to evacuating for a hurricane, ALWAYS empty and dispose of the contents of all refrigerators and freezers that you own.) Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated the Gulf coast. Recovery is an on-going process and will continue for many years. Working as a Crisis Counselor was but a small way in which I was able to contribute to the recovery process.

Interests[edit]

Automobiles, Greek and Roman culture during the 1st century, and the Italian language.

Philosophy for Matters of Faith[edit]

I do not believe in revising history so that it better fits within a particular theological framework. If the accurate facts from the past do not support your belief system, change your beliefs. This last comment is equally applicable to both rabid fundamentalists and to rabid neo-darwinian evolutionists.
