Orbis Technologies ...
Orbis Technologies, Inc. is an American technology firm that specializes in designing semantic applications and specialized cloud analytics for both government and commercial organizations with near-Internet-scale data problems. The company was incorporated in 2005 by Brian Ippolito, a graduate of MIT’s System Design and Management Program (SDM) and former Air Force officer who oversaw contractors who developed large-scale mission-critical software systems for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. One of the groundbreaking firms to apply semantic technology and cloud computing beyond the tactical intelligence domain to commercial sectors, and even the world of museum informatics, Orbis is recognized as one of the fastest growing technology companies today. Orbis' Chief Technology Officer, Steve Hamby, is widely regarded as a leading technologist in the semantic technology field, and has authored numerous articles on XML, Natural Language Processing, Linked Data, and semantic technology topics. Orbis holds its corporate office in Annapolis, Maryland, and additional offices in Carlsbad (Calif.), Jacksonville and Orlando (Fla.), and Warner Robins (Ga.)
