Gunshop is a digital design and video production company that brings brands to life with live action, motion graphics, character and 3D animation founded by Stacy Nimmo and based in San Francisco, California. Nimmo made his directing debut for MTV under the name of "Gunshop," named for the decommissioned munitions factory the studio was housed in.
History[edit]
Built on a foundation in broadcast design, Nimmo has created campaigns for agency, entertainment, and corporate clients for over a decade. During his 12 years in New York, he helped shape the brand personas of a wide range of entertainment clients including Miramax Films, HBO, Vh1, SyFy and USA Networks as well as numerous agency and design shop projects.
Gunshop’s successful blend of live action and animation lead to Gunshop being signed to bi-coastal animation powerhouse Curious Pictures. Gunshop has won international acclaim including Addy, Telly, Motion, and Promax/BDA Awards. After having helmed projects on both coasts for several years, Gunshop is currently based in California.
