A removal of unverified material by agreement with the Administrator has been made on the Biography of a Living Person [Sheikh] Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi [1]. TPPR acts for The Sheikh.

On November 29th, 2014, a number of minor changes to the first two paragraphs were made in order to bring the facts up to date and should be regarded as non-controversial. Each change is listed here in summary as well as appearing under View History. Any disagreements can be discussed in Talk as per standard procedure:-

1. The reference to living in Riyadh is unevidenced by the source and is, in fact, not true. The age claim is speculative and unverified.

2. The estimated net worth valuation is out of date by three years and so has been revised to the 2014 equivalent date Forbes valuation with source. Because of the need to be strict about what the sources actually say, some of the subsequent commentaries has been marginally edited to match their contents. This includes the list of sectors in which the Sheikh has an interest.

3. The numbers of employees world wide is increased to be accurate. The source for this is the Official Web Site which we try to avoid using but, in this case, is arguable and the link is already there. Wikipedia's reference simply did not reflect the increase in 'count' on the site itself.

We may suggest further edits strictly within the rules of verification and clean-up at a later stage, mindful of the comment in Talk that the entry is an enumeration of disconnected facts rather than a clear narrative. However, we consider it advisable to restrict our changes to the two introductory pages on the basis of strict accuracy and await any editorial reactions.

On March 25th, 2015, the Forbes net worth valuation in the first paragraph was updated with full reference to the original sources.

On September 30th, 2015, three very minor changes were made because of broken links to the Official Web Site.

In the first case (21), the link was reassigned to the appropriate page after some internal changes to the Official Web Site. In the second (28), the claims were no longer to be found on only one page but on several pages: the reference was thus linked to the Home Page of the Official Web Site as the primary gateway to the Pages that would justify the claims. In the third (41 but now deleted), there was no Official Web Site authority for the claim so the claim was removed and the associated link removed.

We have not taken responsibility for any other dead links but only for those dead links clearly marked as linking to the Official Web Site. It should be made clear that the Page is self-evidently not an authorised or official account and our engagement should not be construed as acceptance that any fact claimed as a fact within the Page is a true fact. The only true facts which are endorsed as true by the advisers to the Sheikh are those to be found on the Official Website as cited in the relevant Page References.

On August 19th, 2016, we removed a reference to the ethnic designation of the Sheikh simply because it was unevidenced and we corrected a spelling mistake.

On January 17th, 2018, we corrected a reference to the conditions of the detention at the Ritz-Carlton in the previous November. This wass simply a factual change. The Sheikh was detained in the Ritz-Carlton alongside many other senior Saudi figures but the authorities did not categorise this as an arrest. There were no formal charges.

As a matter of policy we do not purport to be Editors of the Page but are merely concerned to correct certain particular facts requiring correction in the public interest as they are drawn to our attention and we continue to act conservatively in this regard out of respect for the values of the platform.
