Timothy Machemer (July 3, 1983 - ) is a software developer currently residing in Amherst, New York. Born at Sister's hospital in Buffalo, New York to William and Valerie Machemer, Timothy was the first of four children. He has three(3) brothers, Andrew, Joshua and Philip.

Life

Early Life/Childhood

Timothy was enrolled into Kindergarten at the age of four at the request of his parents. This made him a full year younger than everyone else at his grade level throughout his entire academic carrer. He attended New Covenant Tabernacle, a private Christian school associated with the church his family attended, through the first grade.

He began the second grade in a new school, Herbert Hoover Elementary School. He would go to school here for the next 4.5 years. In January of his 6th grade year Tim and his family moved to Niagara County and into the Niagara Wheatfield School District. He started attending Edward Town Middle School and would finish through 8th grade there before moving into highschool.

Tim played a couple sports when he was young. He played a season of ice hockey where he was on a team named 'The Icicles'. He also played Tee Ball for a year on a team named after the Atlanta Braves. He was on the team with his brother Andrew and thier friend Rory, who lived down the street from them. Later in life, he also played two years of baseball on a team named 'Ashland', after a local chemical company that sponsored the team.

High School

Tim went through all of the highschool portion of his education at the same school Niagara Wheatfield Senior Highschool, which was a first for him. He excelled in all aspects of highschool. The majority of his classes were honors classes and in his senior year all of his academic classes were AP classes, including Biology, Calculus, English, Macroeconomics and Government and Politics. He graduated with honors with his GPA being ranked in the top 10% of his graduating class.

Tim was involved in several extrcurricular clubs in school including the National Honor Society, French Club and a brief stint in the Math Club. Despite being very academically orientated in high school, Tim never considered himself a "nerd" or anything like that. He never quite fit into any of the stereotypical highschool cliques or groups, as far as he knew other might have though differently. Tim made may friends in highschool from all different backgrounds and social groups including most of his friends he currently hangs out with today.

College and After

In September 2000 Tim started his college career at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. He majored in Computer science with a minor in Criminal Justice. Tim completed the academic portion of his college education in the standard 4 years. However, at RIT with a major in Computer Science it is neccessary to complete a year of co-op to meet graduation requirements. Upon leaving college in June 2004 he had not completed any of his co-op requirements. He took the following summer/fall off and in November of 2004 began working at Teletech, a customer service call center in Niagara Falls. He worked there until March 2006, when he got a job as a developer at LegalStar a software company in Williamsville, New York. Tim received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science on May 12th, 2007.

General Interests

Tim has many interests, the biggest one is sports, he is also an avid movie watcher, he also likes music television, video games and computer programming. He is an avid baseball and hockey fan. His favorite teams include the New York Yankees, Buffalo Sabres and the Colorado Avalanche. He is also a football fan, though not the the extent of baseball and hockey. His favorite football team is his home town Buffalo Bills.

Tim is a fan of most music, his music catalog includes all genres from heavy metal to pop. His favorite genres of music are Punk Rock, Heavy Metal and Rap. His favorite band is Metallica. He enjoys a variety of movie genres his favorite being comedies, his favorite Movie is PCU, starring Jeremy Piven. He is also a fan of several TV shows. Some of his favorites include 30 Rock, Entourage, Scrubs and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He also watches many shows related to sports including sports new shows like Sports Center and Baseball Tonight and sports commentary shows like Pardon the Interruption and Around the Horn.

Another one of Tim's interests is software development and web design. Not only is it his career but he also likes to experiment and develop on his own. He has his own website (a link is found at the bottom of the page) he works on regularly. He also has written some small scripts and pieces of code for his own use. He has played around with various programming languages including but not limited to Python and IronPython. He has also worked with several web languages and technologies including HTML with CSS, Javascript, PHP and AJAX to name a few.
