I'm a retired social worker with much in common with comparative linguists. My favorite magazine is "Science News", but I love reading science fiction as well. A former HyperCard scripter, I've done a little bit in the Ruby (not on Rails) programming language, but I am now relearning my old scripting skills in LiveCode.
