I don't contribute much nowadays, as I am usually busy with this little thing called "real life". However, in a hypothetical parallel universe where I have an infinite amount of time to do whatever I please, I would choose to do the following:

  • Massively improve the content and quality of articles relating to rail transport in Queensland. The coverage of the history and geography of the railway systems of New South Wales and Victoria is excellent. Queensland's coverage (outside the Citytrain network) is appalling. Motive power, modern or historic, is barely even discussed. Rural lines seldom have articles.
  • Fight the good fight against those who continue to debase Wikipedia's cherished ideal of neutral points of view and using reliable sources only, particularly in relation to the articles about suburbs and towns in South East Queensland. A memo to the white-shoe brigade and all the other oleaginous spivs who infest the real estate industry: You do NOT have the right to pollute Wikipedia with your selfish attempts to make your desolate, insipid suburb seem like Arcadian bliss! Go shove fridge magnet calendars into people's letterboxes, or whatever it is you usually do to drum up sales.
  • Write some useful articles about aspects of surveying and spatial science - e.g. the different surveying field techniques, the science and arithmetic behind traverse adjustments, the instruments used, etc.
