I am just a normal person, with a decent job, who lives in Spain, has a family and travels quite often because of his job. Travelling has always given me the opportunity, not only to see and learn about other cultures, but to observe also the behaviour of people of different nationalities, ages and genders, in many different situations. For example, an elder lady not remembering her PIN to access her smartphone and pulling out a notepad, where she had written it down. (I was sitting one row behind in that plane. Her PIN was 0396.) Or, the sudden euphoria, mixed with a kick of adrenaline that is visible on the faces of passengers who’s aircraft just landed. Or the astonishing high amount of men, who leave the toilets without washing their hands! I suppose this last example is actually what motivated me to write my first contribution on Wikipedia (see “The forearm shake”), with which I aimed to leave the eternal evidence that it was me who started promoting in April 2018, the trend of replacing (elliminating?) the well known but yet so unhealthy and sometimes disgusting habit of doing hand shakes, by a forearm shake.
