Ivan Montik is an IT entrepreneur of Belarussian descent. [1][2] He has founded such companies as SoftSwiss, Merkeleon and Bgaming.[3][4] Early in his career, Ivan used to hold a position of the editor-in-chief [5][6] at the Belarusian office of the largest Ukrainian media portal Bigmir)net for over two years. Press and media freedom[edit]
Ivan Montik has supported freedom of speech and independent journalism. He was one of the signatories of the European Charter on Freedom of the Press [9] on May 25, 2009, in Hamburg.[10] Montik supports free access to foreign and national media sources, the ideas of the prohibition of censorship and freedom to disseminate and gather information. Such an outlook led him to become one of the founders of the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom in Leipzig.[11]
Provably fair system in gaming[edit]
As an acknowledged Bitcoin expert Ivan Montik got interested in a provably fair system in online gaming and introduced a cryptocurrency payment solution for the online entertainment industry in 2013.[12] The introduced Bitcoin Solution [13][14][15] became a game-changing technology that makes industry think of software as a network of decentralized units, or nodes, connecting all its users by sending signals not to a server but to each other. This solution allowed the players to check the integrity level themselves using Google tools. [16]
