Laiwan is a Vancouver multi-media artist, writer and teacher, born Laiwan Chu, 1961, in Zimbabwe. Her family immigrated to Vancouver in 1977. Educated at Emily Carr College of Art + Design (ECCAD) and Simon Fraser University, Vancouver.[1]
