Calesha Murray, known professionally as Bre-Z, is an actress and rapper best known for her role as Tamia "Coop" Cooper on The CW TV series All American. She also played Freda Gatz on Empire.^[1]

Murray was born in Philadelphia, and her grandmother immediately nicknamed her "Bre-Z". Raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Murray began rapping at 14. In 2008, she moved to Atlanta, where she cut hair in addition to her music career. Because others in her family were barbers, she had begun cutting hair at age 10. Her customers included Ludacris, Akon and DJ Sense. In 2011, she moved to Los Angeles.^[2]
