Though generally regarded as talkative and a "dork", he began doing very well at his new school. Voye never had behavior problems and never got into any trouble while in school. In June of 2001, Voye's mother married Kenneth L. Miles and this changed her last name to Miles. Though Voye and his siblings kept their birth names.
