Ward Wilson

I have spent twenty-five years studying war and nuclear weapons issues. I am an independent scholar who has published in "The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists", "School Leader" and other publications. I'm currently at work on City Annihilation: New Arguments Against the Use of Nuclear Weapons.

My main areas of interest are the general theory and definition of war and most things relating to nuclear weapons. (Though I tend to shy away from the jargony, technical, gee-whiz stuff.)

I live in the United States and studied history in college.

I'm most struck by the lack of sensible, practical thinking about nuclear weapons. They seem to be a sort of magnet for over-sized emtions. It's remarkable how much nonsense - both pro and con - has been written about them.
