Global Village Space (GVS)[edit]

Global Village Space Publications is a multimedia news online website, magazine and Youtube channel created by a group of Pakistani alumni of Columbia University, Dr Moeed Pirzada, prominent TV anchor and Najma Minhas, Managing Editor are actively involved in the day to day running of GVS.[1]. It was set up in October 2016, in a small section of a residential house. From that point - it has been now read over 60 million times. Although English is Pakistan's official language the numbers who can read and speak English are very low[2]. Global Village Space is read (over 60 million by 2019) by educated middle classes in urban centers of Pakistan as well as connecting Pakistani diaspora across the globe via platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Whatsapp and Youtube. GVS magazine audience is largely read by - among others - members of the legal fraternity, business world, diplomats, United Nations executives and Urban Intelligentsia[3].

Writers for GVS range from Policy Practitioners, Industry Experts & Senior Executives (such as Rizwan Mir[4]) to Academics, Authors & Historians as well as top lawyers (such as, but not limited to, Ahmer Bilal Soofi[5], Dr Yaqoob Bangash[6], Syed Ali Zafar[7], Saad Rasool[8]l, Hassan Aslam Shad[9]), Think Tankers such as Arif Rafiq[10], Marvin Weinbaum[11], Sameer Lalwani[12], & Diplomats such as Cameron Munter[13]. These writers are based across North America, the Middle East and South East Asia. GVS has engaged and interviewed key figures and decision makers from across the globe.
