Hello Everybody, I am Godwin Ifere, and I am undergoing the AAP Bioinformatics program at Johns Hopkins University. I hold a higher degree in Biochemistry, and I have done serious research in clinical biochemistry, diabetes, Chlamydia vaccine development and prostate cancer. I am currently stocked with prostate cancer research because of its enormous burden on particularly the underserved African American population and other groups with African ancestry. This disparity is thought to be associated with either the biology or the environment of these population, or even both. I believe adequate knowledge of bioinformatics would enable me contribute to finding an answer to the etiology and pathogenesis of this disorder in these underserved population. Besides vested interest in biology, I have interest in a wide variety of subjects that range from music, cultures, religion, sports, to history. I hope we'll all meet here to brainstorm on these subjects beside science. Have great fun.
