Rebel Road are a Swedish hard rock/southern rock band,[1] they have also been considered a classic rock act,[2][3][4] although they have often dubbed their music simply "rock and roll".[5]

Rebel Road was formed 2008 in Vastra Gotaland, Sweden and released about 10 songs on myspace. American Radio began to play the music after signing a promotion deal in Nashville. At this time Rebel Road appeared on Swedish and European radio as well. In the years to come Rebel Road fine tuned their sound and music, went back to the roots. Growing up listening to acts like AC/DC, Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kiss, Deep Purple, Motorhead, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Van Halen the band combined that 70’s sound with the sound of todays modern rock. It has always been about rock and roll but when the band added a little piece of outlaw country into the music the pieces really started to fall into place. The music is probably best described as some kind of hard southern rock. “To write songs has been a big part of my life ever since I was a little kid. Singer songwriters like Bruce Springsteen has been a big inspiration to me. The main goal is to deliver music that suits small clubs and the big arenas as well”, says lead singer Ulrich Seppenen. “We always try to take the music to the next level, finding new ways, pushing ourselves hard”. In 2010 Rebel Road began to tour in Sweden doing club gigs and festivals. 2012 the band recorded three songs which producer Roberto Laghi mixed at In Flames Studios, Gothenburg. In 2013 Rebel Road signed a deal with one of Swedens leading labels Rambo a part of Gain/Sony Music. The bands debut album Lock & Load is recorded at Toys In The Attic and mastered by Stephen Marcussen at Marcussen Mastering [6] in Hollywood, California. (Foo Fighters, Kiss, Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi etc.) Lock & Load was released in Sweden Mars 5 2014. The album received good reviews from the critics. In 2016 Stefan Karlsson decided to leave the band. Rebel Road are currently in the studio recording the follow up to Lock & Load.
