Roads & Kingdoms is an online travel and food publication. The publication won the James Beard Foundation's Publication of the Year Award in 2017.[1] Its partner website is Explore Parts Unknown, a companion site to the CNN television series Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. In 2018, Roads & Kingdoms and Explore Parts Unknown received an Emmys nomination for Outstanding Short Form Nonfiction or Reality Series.[2]

Roads & Kingdoms was founded in 2012 by Nathan Thornburgh and Matt Goulding.[3] Anthony Bourdain was the sole investor and editor-at-large of Roads & Kingdoms from 2015 until his death in 2018.[4]
