Antomius Wise[edit]

Antomius Ryheen Wise, /ˈæntməsrˈhnwz/ born February 15, 1982, is an American humanitarian, author, Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, Life Strategist, and former professional football player.

Early Life[edit]

Wise was born in Atlanta GA and grew up in College Park. He was raised by his mother until the age of 8 when she passed away due to AIDS complications. Antomius was a ward of the state until adopted by his Uncle and Aunt - Arthur and Janice Wise.  At the time, Antomius’ Uncle was serving in the United States Army so the family moved a handful of times.

Wise attended multiple High Schools in both Hawaii and Georgia. He graduated from Mount Zion High School located in Jonesboro, GA in 2000. He was Athlete of the Year in 2000.

College Career[edit]

Wise attended four colleges in an effort to make good on a promise he made to his mother of becoming an NFL player. His college football journey began in 2000 when he played for Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2002, Wise transferred to West Virginia University and spent a year with the Mountaineers[1]. Then, he studied and played for the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2003. In 2004 Wise attended his fourth and final undergraduate college, Lambuth University, and graduated with a B.S. in Sports Management and minored in Health and Human Services in 2005. On the football field, he played Cornerback and Kick Returner. He was given the nickname “4-Schools” by NFL players, coaches, and TV personalities, most notably Michael Strahan and Jay Glazier while on Spike TV series Pros Vs Joes.

Professional Career[edit]

Antomius Wise made a promise to his mother before her passing that he would reach the NFL, and he achieved that aspiration. His journey involved attending four colleges in pursuit of his goal. In 2005, Wise received an opportunity as an undrafted free agent from the New Orleans Saints but opted to decline the offer to finish his degree and pursue another year of eligibility, which unfortunately was denied. The following year, in 2006, after gaining experience with the Spokane Shock arena football team[2], Wise was given a chance by the Washington Redskins (now Washington Commanders) to play Cornerback at 6’ 3” and 220 lbs[3]. However, his NFL career was cut short due to a later diagnosis of a stress fracture in his L3 pars region in his lower back.

After the NFL, Wise spent time playing in the Arena Football League and was in an episode of Pros vs Joes on Spike TV (season 5, episode 8) with hosts Michael Strahan and Jay Glazer in 2010. Wise continued playing professional football through the IFL with the San Angelo Stampedes until a break in 2008 when he started an asset protection company, Wise Protective Services LLC (WPS), to provide solutions and bring value to society. Wise played his last year of AFL football in 2011 with the Iowa Barnstormers[4].

Humanitarian Ventures[edit]

In 2008 Wise started an asset protection firm, Wise Protective Service LLC (WPS), to provide solutions and bring value to society. Due to him being in the Secret Service, the firm is now operated by the Wise family and is comprised of highly skilled and experienced professionals, including former Special Agents from the USSS and IRS, as well as current and former local law enforcement officers and security specialists.

In 2013, he received his MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management in Public Administration with an emphasis on Non-Profit Organizations. Wise began working with the United States Secret Service in 2016. When Wise is “5-9ing”, he volunteers his time, knowledge, wisdom, guidance and understanding to Wise Protective Service and More, Inc. (WPSM) a  501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports Domestic Violence Survivors and Combats Abusive Behavior in which he founded in 2012. The organization has many programs that bring value to society and teach economic growth. Due to his humanitarian efforts, he’s had many conversations with some of the most powerful people in our society.

In 2022, he founded Life Strategies 2.0 (LS2) a fee-based programs that supports WPSM mission. The LS2 program focuses on the four pillars of life: Finances (taxes), Relationships, Emotions, and Health. Understanding the tax codes was one of Antomius’ most valuable lessons, as the average W2 high-income earner (according to the IRS) overpays approximately $30,000+ in taxes every year. The program is designed to provide financial literacy for wealth creation to high W2/1099 earners on how to bring value to society and get rewarded with tax breaks, those that want logical relationship advice, understanding how to manage emotions and providing a healthy mindset. All proceeds from the LS2 program support the WPSM.org mission.

In Media[edit]

In 2022, Antomius was invited by Jim Britt and Jim Lutes to co-author The Change 17, the latest installment of the renowned self-empowerment book series. The Change series has hundreds of coauthors in 26 counties, Antomius was honored to be featured and eager to write and develop his story to inspire others. Within his chapter, Antomius dives into topics such as entrepreneurship, goal setting, and high-value relationships. Portions of book sales go towards supporting WPSM, Inc. Since authoring The Change 17, Antomius has been featured on multiple podcasts as well as in print[5] and TV interviews[6] to continue spreading self-empowerment and financial tips and promoting his services as a Life Strategist in support of the LS2 program and WPSM initiatives.

Personal Life[edit]

Antomius currently lives in the DMV area with his wife, Akilah, and two sons Antomius Ryheen Elam-Wise (AJ) and Antomius Ryheen Wise Jr. (Three). Antomius met his wife Akilah in Atlanta, Georgia in 2013 through Match.com. Antomius and Akilah were married in March 2016 surrounded by friends and family.

Philanthropy[edit]

In 2012, Antomius Wise established Wise Protective Service and More, Inc. (WPSM), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization aimed at providing assistance to individuals and families affected by domestic violence while also offering various health and wellness services to enhance their overall well-being.

This initiative stemmed from Wise's observation of unmet community needs beyond his primary business focus on asset protection. WPSM's mission encompasses offering transitional housing, counseling, and support services for survivors of domestic violence, combating abusive behaviors, addressing childhood obesity, and mentoring children impacted by HIV/AIDS across Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Georgia. Through empowerment initiatives, counseling sessions, and diverse financial and educational programs, WPSM endeavors to positively impact the lives, health, and safety of numerous individuals annually, serving as a prominent advocate for victims while implementing a range of community-oriented initiatives. Among WPSM's flagship endeavors is the Domestic Response, Intervention, and Prevention Program (DRIP)™, designed to provide comprehensive support beyond immediate safety measures for domestic violence survivors. The 12-week DRIP™ program offers crisis intervention, mental health support, education on the legal system, digital abuse awareness, financial literacy, career counseling, and connections to essential services aimed at addressing broader health determinants.

Additionally, WPSM operates the Changing Abusive Behaviors Program (CAB)™, a nationally accredited initiative offering 18-week solution-focused interventions for individuals who have engaged in abusive behavior, striving to promote positive transformation and break the cycle of violence.

Furthermore, WPSM extends its services to address childhood obesity prevention and provide mentorship for children affected by HIV/AIDS, recognizing these as critical health concerns within the communities it serves. Through educational initiatives, fitness camps, community gardens, and sporting events, WPSM aims to promote healthy lifestyles and nutritional habits among children and young adults, fostering safer and healthier environments across Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Georgia.
