Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by inattention, or excessive activity and impulsivity, which are otherwise not appropriate for a person's age.[1][2]

It displays marked differences between genders because SOMETHING GOES HERE.

Although historically more males were diagnosed with ADHD (SOURCE), in recent years the gender gap has been closing as females are now associated with 489% of new diagnoses.(SOURCE HERE)
