The first commercial recordings of Frédéric Chopin's second and thirdpiano sonatas (Opp. 35 & 58) were made by Percy Grainger in 1928 and 1925 respectively.[1][2] Other early recordings of the two sonatas were made by Cortot,[3] Grainger,[4] and Rachmaninoff[5].
