Antonino “Tony” Calixto moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Antonino “Tony” Calixto, is not suitable as written to remain published. As a biography of a living person it needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. License tagging for File:Emi Calixto-a.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Emi Calixto-a.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Your contributed article, 2016 Pasay Local Election[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, 2016 Pasay Local Election. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – 2016 Pasay local elections. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at 2016 Pasay local elections. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. twotwofourtysix(My talk page and contributions) 04:56, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you would like to create an article on the previous election, 2013 Pasay local elections, I highly suggest you use Wikipedia:Articles for creation first, since content duplicated to another article with a different election year in title is likely going to be deleted under A10. twotwofourtysix(My talk page and contributions) 05:00, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Various editing problems[edit]

  • Please don't create two or more copies of a page. Doing so serves no useful purpose, and creates various problems, such as making it difficult for editors to keep track of changes. Especially important is not to submit multiple copies of a draft for review as articles for creation, as doing so takes up time of reviewers who could have spent the time more usefully on other work, such as reviewing other drafts.
  • The article Antonino Calixto is nowhere near suitable to be an article yet, and it was unhelpful for you to decide to ignore the advice of editors who had reviewed your drafts and go ahead with creating the article. Apart from the lack of suitable citations to references, the article is incoherent, contradicts itself, can't make up its mind about the sex of the person it is referring to, and contains numerous errors in English. It was not helpful to uncritically copy material from the article Imelda Calixto-Rubiano without bothering to proof-read it and make sure that you didn't leave content which didn't apply to Antonino Calixto. For example, he has never been a congresswoman.
  • I shall delete all but one of the drafts about Antonino Calixto you created, and the article. You are welcome to work on the remaining draft, and when you have addressed the issues raised by reviewers and any other problems you may submit it for review again. If you can create a page such as the one you posted as an article without seeing that it is nowhere near suitable to be an article, then you really should not be creating articles directly. JBW (talk) 09:34, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

After receiving the above message you can scarcely have really thought that posting a copy of the page in question into this page was a good idea. If you continue to disruptively post duplicate copies of existing pages you will be blocked from editing. JBW (talk) 09:55, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistent disruptive editing. When I first posted to this page I assumed you were acting in good faith, and were unaware of the problems with the pages you had created. However, after receiving the above messages you can't possibly have been unaware of the fact that re-creating the article with no attempt to correct the problems was unsuitable. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  JBW (talk) 10:03, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

To be very clear[edit]

The good news is that, as someone elected to a national legislature, Tony Calixto 100% meets notability criteria. If you do it properly then there will be an article about him. But you have to do it properly. DS (talk) 02:48, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for continuing with exactly the same kinds of unconstructive editing which led to the previous block. Since a very short block failed to persuade you to change your ways, this block is for a longer time, in the hope it will make you at last take notice of the many messages you have received about the problems with your editing. You may well be blocked indefinitely if you yet again do any of the unconstructive things you have been warned about. Your recent re-creation of the article Antonino Calixto repeated the following problems, all of which you have previously been warned about: creating further copies of a page you have already created several times, re-creating an unsuitable article after it has been deleted or moved to draft without making any attempt to deal with the problems, copying the content of one page to another without attribution, creating an article by modifying a copy of an existing one but leaving in place material not applying to the subject of the new article. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  JBW (talk) 07:52, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve 2004 Pasay local elections[edit]

Hello, "Jaymark 215,

Thank you for creating 2004 Pasay local elections.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

This article needs references. As it refers to living people, it needs to address WP:BASIC, so more references are needful.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Posting a source[edit]

Hey Jaymark 215,

My name is Sanda, and I was wondering if you could help me with publishing this mobile app developing company or at least cite it on the Mobile App page. If you for any reason can not, could you at least give me advice on how to cite it, or if it is possible, to create a full page of this company? Thank you, I'll be waiting for your response. Have a great day ahead!

A tag has been placed on File:Tita Connie Dy.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.facebook.com/Connie-Dy-290146854178/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello "Jaymark 215! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 15:00, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note - You cannot keep uploading copyrighted images with no licensing tags. If you have questions about images and copyright, you can ask at Media Copyright Questions. -- Whpq (talk) 15:02, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://orangemagazine.ph/2019/edward-togonon-is-the-top-choice-in-pasay-city/.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. 2004 Pasay local elections moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, 2004 Pasay local elections, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
