Serbian River Flotilla[edit]

Thanks for helping with the Serbian River Flotilla page. HamOnt (talk) 17:01, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. My contribution is nothing compared to yours. You did all the work. Илија Гуск (talk) 17:04, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

March 2020[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Soko J-22 Orao; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.Nigel Ish (talk) 20:03, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You should not be removing Cite Needed tags without replacing them with a reference. How do you know that the Orao was used for ground-attack missions in Bosnia and Croatia? No supporting information is provided for that claim. How do you know that the 238th, 241st and 242nd squadrons were equipped? There is no supporting reference for that information either. How do you know that the Republika Srpska Air Force Oraos were grounded due to insufficient funds and the effect of sanctions? No supporting information is provided for that claim. We don't list normal attrition of aircraft due to accidents in Wikipedia articles; half-a-dozen different people have removed this information. There was a report that there were aircraft in storage in the middle of last year. How do you know that is still the case now? There is no source added to the article that verifies this claim. That it is likely to be true is irrelevant; you might have seen them stored in a hangar, "personal experience" is also not a valid justifiaction for information in an article. The Manual of Style says that flagicons are not to be used for decoration. In an edit summary you have quoted "Accompany flags with country names", this does not mean what you seem to think it does. if it said 'country names should be accompanied with flagicons' you would have justification; what that statement actually means is "if you do use a flagicon, the country name should be used as well".
It is perfectly acceptable to use sources in foreign languages in an English-language article. If there are Serbian sources, feel free to add them; don't remove the tags and not add references though. YSSYguy (talk) 23:00, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's common knowledge that J-22 participated in the Yugoslav wars, anyone with even remote interest in these topics would know that. That's the reason I did not provide source for that part as for others I would do it eventually. You can provide sources if you want to. Go on. I also removed some stuff I normally would not because of edit warring with you, that's on you. But I also kept some of your edits.
As for attrition part I don't remember that many users, but I found this edit [1] made by a user who warned us both. I do find mentioning what happened to remaining planes important because it is an operational history. That one sentence really messes up the whole article, eh? Give me a break.
You ask me how do I know that's still the case? It's in the latest source (end of the paragraph, if only you read it), if you have better, newer source that says otherwise post it, if not leave it. Or do you perhaps know this from your "personal experience"? I never mentioned "personal experience" or anything similar - stop projecting.
Manual of Style says nothing explicitly against the way flags are in my version, and by browsing Wiki I can see they are used in nearly every section of article which has "Operators" or similar. I do find flags helpful and more informative next to country name.
You are free to add Serbian sources too. I will do it too, one day. Илија Гуск (talk) 19:08, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at List of aviation shootdowns and accidents during the Syrian Civil War shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. I see that you came back from your own IP adress, and in your version even the counting is not correct, even 1+1 does not equals 2 anymore. So the evidence is you are just doing vandalism.HarimauFury (talk) 22:08, 12 March 2020 (UTC) @Илија Гуск:[reply]

Don't come here rambling, compose yourself or take your schizo pills, whatever helps. Илија Гуск (talk) 18:06, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
