Bassmint Productions/Soul Intent

Bassmint Productions/Soul Intent

I'm D.J. Butter Fingers, this is MY history. The "info" you put back is incorrect. Soul Intent wasn't formed in 1989, Vitamin C IS Caucasian Pimp, Delirious D. & V-top weren't members and Stezo was an auxiliary member that never did anything with any form of the groups. Please stop "correcting" this page. You don't know what you're talking about, I do. DJbuttehfingiz111 (talk) 00:53, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, DJbuttehfingiz111! Please note that you Must include a reliable source to cite your content, secondly I would suggest you to read the Conflict of Interest Page, and You do not own any of the pages on Wikipedia. If you have a reliable source to cite, then you can add the information back. Thank You. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 00:55, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm D.J. Butter Fingers of Bassmint Productions and Soul Intent, I was in the groups, it's my history, what other reliable sources could there be? What reliable sources are you culling from? A Champtown documentary that's biased? I fail to understand how a founding member of these groups isn't a reliable source. DJbuttehfingiz111 (talk) 00:59, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As noted above, please read The Guide to Reliable Sources Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 01:00, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I understand the conflict of interest, but I'm providing factual information, not my personal biases. The info about the history was provided by me 5 years ago, when the page had almost nothing correct, I didn't need any verfied sources then. Now, I do. Nothing I've put in here, in any way, constitutes COI, other than that of the editors who believe they know better and are upset that they are being corrected. DJbuttehfingiz111 (talk) 01:26, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@DJbuttehfingiz111: I understand your frustration, but you do need to cite a reliable source here at Wikipedia. If you have one feel free to add the information back. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 01:32, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What reliable sources are you using? None of the so-called "reliable" sources are that. Your sources are a Fox news article that's factually incorrect and a documentary from Champtown, the man on the beginning of F@#!in' Backstabber song on the Soul Intent maxi-single, being taped trying to hook up with Em's then girlfriend, Kim. DJbuttehfingiz111 (talk) 01:44, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What? I am confused, can you please clarify? Thanks. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 01:46, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What are the so-called reliable sources that you're citing? DJbuttehfingiz111 (talk) 01:58, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am not citing anything, I just reverted your changes. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 01:59, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DJbuttehfingiz111: People are known to impersonate other people on Wikipedia. You have provided no evidence that you are the person that you claim you are. Most of the information you have added to the article 5 years ago was sourced from an interview "Frizzo interviews Manix of Soul Intent" [[1]] Mysticair667537 (talk) 8 February 2019 (UTC)
For the source that was added into the article from 5 years ago, Youtube is definitely not a reliable source. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 02:04, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I know that, from sources that are almost completely false, from people who don't know or are biased, not people who were part of this. What makes them reliable sources and not me? Because it's in print or on film? You don't know these people, neither do the other editors. You fail to understand that the actual information on here was provided by me, with no citation, yet you have no problem with it being on here, just a problem with me correcting it when others get it wrong. Complete double standard and a clear COI. DJbuttehfingiz111 (talk) 02:06, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I did not edit the article, Did I revert your cited changes, If I did my apologies, I did not see them. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 02:07, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If you are calling yourself as the source, than that is not a proper citing. Sorry.Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 02:09, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DJbuttehfingiz111: How do we know you are the real DJ Butter Fingers? Mysticair667537 (talk) 8 February 2019 (UTC)
@DJbuttehfingiz111: It looks like you are representing a famous person, we will have to soft-block your account to until we can verify that you are the real DJ Butter Fingers. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 02:12, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

How would you like me to prove it? DJbuttehfingiz111 (talk) 02:15, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If your account gets a soft-block, you can then follow the instructions listed in the block notice. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 02:15, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DJbuttehfingiz111: The best way to verify yourself is to upload an image of yourself holding a piece of paper that says "Hello Wikipedia, this is DJ Butter Fingers. Mysticair667537 (talk) 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Yet, you're fine with the majority of the info, which I provided, with NO citation or verification. This is, clearly, an example of the editors not wanting to be told they're providing misinformation. DJbuttehfingiz111 (talk) 02:28, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bassmint Productions/Soul Intent

I get it, my man, you don't want me to be who I say I am, you seem to be looking for any and every way to keep me from proving the so-called reliable sources wrong. Why don't you tell me the sure fire way to prove it, instead of what won't. Thanks. DJbuttehfingiz111 (talk) 03:49, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No. We are just trying to prevent impersonation, not trying to discourage you from editing Wikipedia, that's not what I am here for, I am here to help you, you will always be treated with my respect no matter what happens- I promise. Vandalizing Glass page

Censoring a properly sourced notable contribution and disingenuously tagging it vandalism is itself vandalism. It is noteworthy that “Glass” was panned by the majority of critics and to exclude it amounts to censorship and is a disservice to the reader. Our job is not to interpret or spin. Our job is to report. I actually live this movie. But Wikipedia rules are Wikipedia rules. Refrain from POV pushing please.2601:282:8300:B761:BC39:7D53:5DC5:7FE8 (talk) 17:19, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yea, I realized it was not vandalism after I reverted it, my apologies. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 20:55, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

BITEing IP on LGBT media article

I think your revert of User talk:70.181.255.37 was a little hasty—they didn't make any claim of it being original research, it seems like something that could reasonably have been published somewhere, and it seems like information that would be worth having on the wiki. Maybe a talk page message and/or a {{citation needed}} would have been more appropriate?

Gaelan 💬✏️ 01:39, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Gaelan! No message has been left to the user yet. I reverted it originally thinking it was original research. You can revert if you want to. Thank You.
That IP also did not make any edits.Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 01:43, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Whoops, typo'd the IP. I was referring to this revert. Looks like they already put the edit back. Seems like this event was pretty well-covered by pop-culture related news sources, and got a short mention in the Washington Post. I'll add some citations. Gaelan 💬✏️ 01:54, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
How do you get HG to delivered the message? Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 02:03, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted content

Hi, you removed the content I added to the page for Carolyn Bunny Welsh, who is the Sheriff of my local county. This is an issue that is relevant to this local figure and this Wiki page is incomplete by its omission. I was careful to add factual information without any bias. As a member of this local community, it's a bit off-putting to have someone hundreds of miles away who knows nothing about my community erase my contribution, especially my first one to Wiki. I have read your page and I know this is your hobby so I'll try not to take it personally. But I'd appreciate it if you'd advise me on how to add info with proper citations so it doesn't get scrubbed. Thank TheScribe93 (talk) 00:46, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, TheScribe93 , and Welcome to Wikipedia!, I haven't left any warnings on your account, which page(s) are you refering to, If I removed your content, it's most likely because you did not cite or provide a Reliable Source. If you have one please add it back! Happy Editing! Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 00:50, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
