Taoyuan Leopards moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Taoyuan Leopards, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Incorrect usage of TPE flags[edit]

Hello, hope you're doing well. I see you are a frequent and beginner editor of Taiwan's basketball team articles. I want to let you know that it is incorrect to use TPE flags for the team rosters or any of the players. This is Taiwan's league, and Taiwan does not refer itself as "Chinese Taipei". The TPE flag is used for international competitions such as the Olympics or Universiade, and only used to represent team names. I would appreciate it if you could revert all flags to TWN. Thank you. Kazuha1029 (talk) 20:11, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@安狄: Please engage your discussion with me so we can come to a consensus. Thank you. Kazuha1029 (talk) 04:33, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Other teams in P. League+ and SBL also use TPE flag to record the nationality. These teams all follow FIFA nationality guidance to record roster. I just follow this rule to edit these pages. 安狄 (talk) 08:44, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for engaging in the conversations. Just because that was how it was done before doesn't mean it was right. SBL, P League+, and T1 Leagues are all domestic leagues and they need to be changed to TWN as Taiwan does not call itself Chinese Taipei. In your citations, none of them say they are Chinese Taipei nationality so your flag tags are non-cited either way, if anything, the Taiwanese media call these players Taiwanese so you should use TWN flags. Like I mentioned, these teams are not governed by FIBA. Wikipedia has always used TWN unless it is an international competition where Chinese Taipei is used. Please help me change all these pages to TWN. I have reverted your edits for now. - Kazuha1029 (talk) 14:52, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I also want to say, Wikipedia must be backed by citations. Copying past edits is never a good idea. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources. Right now, you are the only person against changing to TWN (which is funny because you seem to be a Taiwanese editor). As long as we come to a Wikipedia:Consensus, then we can make the change without any issue. If following past edit is your only reason and you are not against me changing this, then we have consensus and you can stop reverting the edits. - Kazuha1029 (talk) 15:15, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I just edit the pages about T1 League. If you still concern about the nationality of SBL, P. League+, and T1 League player roster, maybe you should discuss with the editors of SBL and P. League+. Before you get the conclusion with other editors, I would revert these edits. 安狄 (talk) 15:23, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Besides, if the major editors of SBL and P. League+ think that the nationality of SBL, P. League+, and T1 League player roster should be changed, please change all T1 League player roster by yourself. Before you get the conclusion with other editors, I would keep the nationality edit rules same as the pages of SBL and P. League+. 安狄 (talk) 15:49, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am fine with that. But given that you are asking me to ask the other articles editors, it seems to me you have been convinced by my argument and is in agreement with me to let me change to TWN if others also agree? please confirm. Kazuha1029 (talk) 16:24, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In my opinion, I just keep the edit rules of T1 League pages same as the SBL and P. League pages. It would be strange that the nationality rules are only changed in T1 League and not modified in others. If other editors all agree your thought, you can edit them. 安狄 (talk) 16:57, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Thank you for your prompt responses and a civilized discussion. Kazuha1029 (talk) 17:00, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, just to let you know, it seems like there has been no opposition from any of the editors as it has been two weeks since I revised the flags for both p league and SBL. I will now change it for T1 as well if you agree. Thanks for all your contribution to Taiwanese basketball. - Kazuha1029 (talk) Kazuha1029 (talk) 03:48, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Interleague Play[edit]

Can you say why you'd want this capitalized? It seems to be a generic term in sports. Dicklyon (talk) 02:33, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Here I use capitalized is to mention that it is a specific competition held by Chinese Taipei Basketball Association. But I think that your explanation is reasonable, I don't notice that it's a generic term in sports. 安狄 (talk) 06:11, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Lots of specific competitions have generic descriptive names. Dicklyon (talk) 16:22, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
