Draft:Indian Ports Association[edit]

Hi noah. Thanks for your time and efforts in reviewing this article along with feedback. Will improve with additional references and get back to you. However all present sources too are secondary and modified as per earlier feedback too. Good day. Gardenkur (talk) 02:59, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gardenkur, sorry for the late reply. The article is still very promotional. I don't have any issues with the sources as of now. Noah 💬 20:27, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi noah. Hope you are keeping well. Sorry for delayed reply from my side. As its a Non profit organisation, I made best efforts to keep it neutral and non promotional. However will try to improve it. Thanks. Gardenkur (talk) 04:08, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi noah. Hope you are keeping well. Can you please review this article and approve for main space. The article will serve as an informational purpose on Indian Ports association. In case you need any improvements, kindly suggest. Gardenkur (talk) 05:37, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi noah. Thanks for looking into my article on Rebecca Mordan. I am frustrated because i've very purposely tried to find sources and citations that are not conflicts of interest. I have also added way more of these third-party sources than other actors or actresses I've seen on wikipedia. While I understand my association may lead to a conflict of interest, I acknowledge it and am actively trying to make sure I'm not biased through sources and citations. However, the feedback I get is always "this person isn't significant," which isn't helpful since I can find more video clips and stuff but I don't think it's the citations themselves that are the issue. I'd appreciate any guidance I can get. Thank you!Test123cx777 (talk) 19:38, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @Test123cx777:. For the article to be notable, it needs at least 3 independent, reliable sources, that cover the subject in detail in order to demonstrate notability. Let's go through each source one by one.

Source #1: It is not reliable, and it does not cover the subject in detail. Source #2: It is not independent, not reliable. Source #3: It is not independent (it appears to be local news). Source #4: It is not independent (it is an interview) Source #5: It does not cover the subject in detail. Source #6: It does not cover the subject in detail. Source #7: It is not independent. Many of the other sources look like interviews and things like that. An example of an independent, reliable source would be an article from a national news source that covers her in detail. It can't be from the BBC, because she works there.

The article also comes across as promotional in general, especially in the activism section. I hope this helped! Noah 💬 20:26, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi noah. Thank you for looking into this! It's actually really helpful to see the breakdown of the sources from your perspective. If I may, she does not work at BBC. She was selected for a short term writers program once and this was years after independent coverage. It is rare for any significant English artist to not be involved with the BBC, so I don't think this should eliminate those articles. I will go through her sources again to curate to your points above. Test123cx777 (talk) 20:46, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi noah. I've gone through the 19 sources I originally had for the article and have curated it with the arguments below to 6 final sources. Please let me know if you agree and if I edit the article down to only cite the points of the 6 sources if you think I have a chance of being approved. Thank you!

Source #1 - agreed Source #2 - I’m not sure I understand here. The organization is independent of the artist and the citation is to prove that they’ve nominated her as the associate artist for the organization. Even in the Hall for Cornwall Wikipedia page they are allowed to cite timelines on their own website https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hall_for_Cornwall Source #3 - local news, agreed Source #4 - OK looking over Wikipedia’s interview citation policy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Interviews - this interview is directly from her (primary) on a subject she is an expert about (notable, having organized the event) by a national, independent news organization (notable, The Guardian). I believe this qualifies as a source. Source #5 - Agreed Source $6 - Agreed Source #7 - I’m not sure I understand the definition of independent here. My argument is similar to Source #2 where this is an independent organization (BBC) that has nominated this artist and publicized it in the article. The point I am citing in the wikipedia article is that she has been selected by this prestigious organization, thus making her a notable artist. BBC is also a national news program Source #8 - removing since it is not at length Source #9 - removing as it does not cover subject in detail Source #10 - this organization was cofounded by the artist, so I think I will have to remove? Source #11 - this organization was cofounded by the artist, so I think I will have to remove? Source #12 - removing as it does not cover subject in detail Source #13 - removing as it does not cover subject in detail Source #14 - I believe this stands as it is a national, independent news source and covers the subject in detail if not in length Source #15 - removing as it does not cover subject in detail Source #16 - removing as it does not cover subject in detail Source #17 - this is a 1 hour radio show with Rebecca’s name in the summary on BBC4 (national) where she talks greenham activism celebration events (notable) Source #18 - removing as it does not cover subject in detail Source #19 - I believe this stands as the book itself is proof of her expertise in this subject (Greenham Voices) and is by a real publisher (The History Press)

After the curation above, the sources that remain are Source #2 Source #4 Source #7 Source #14 Source #17 Source #19

Please let me know your thoughts. Again, appreciate the time here. Test123cx777 (talk) 21:07, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Test123cx777@. Sorry for the late reply. Busy week. I can't look at it in detail right now, but from what you're said it looks promising. I'll take a look at it soon-ish. Noah 💬 14:12, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

WP:AFC Helper News[edit]

Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.

  • AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
  • The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.

Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. Cheers, Primefac, via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 15:59, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliothèque Marmottan[edit]

Hello! I have edited the article since your last comment (1st February) but unfortunately I have not had any feedback from the community. I would appreciate it if you could arrange for my article to be reviewed so that it can finally be published. Thank you in advance. Hello @-noah-, like I said in my last message of the 22 March, I haven't had any feedback from the community since my last comment (1st February) and it seems that my draft has been definitely forgotten... What can I do? ~~ Bibi at Bibliothèque Marmottan (talk) 07:13, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Question about Flajolet Lecture Prize (draft page)[edit]

-noah-, thank you very much for your comments (one year ago) for this draft page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Flajolet_Lecture_Prize You mentioned that "This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified." At the time I created the page, I did not understand the need for such sources, but I have tried to learn a lot, during the last year. I made several edits to this page, and I noticed that several other people edited this page too, since March 2021. Would you please be willing to look at the draft of the page again, and see if it is suitable for approval now? I would welcome your guidance! Thank you for considering! Disambiguation link notification for March 8[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2019–20 Genoa C.F.C. season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ajax. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Tagging redirect for a draft move[edit]

Hello, the easiest way for admins to review these kinds of page moves is to select CSD>G6 Move and in the field, put the page of the draft you want moved. This provides an active link so the admin can review the draft and with one click, they can delete the redirect and move the draft. However in the current case, it doesn't look like the draft has been accepted so I didn't take any action. Liz Read! Talk! 01:39, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
