Yumna Zaidi

Hi 02ramya95! Thank you for your suggestions to improve our article about Yumna Zaidi. I see that you want to update her birthdate. We already have two reliable sources cited in the article for her birthdate being 30 July 1989: Daily Pakistan says that she celebrated her 32nd birthday on 30 July 2021 (the article says "today (June 30)" but it was published on 30 July), and Bol News says that she turned 31 on 30 July 2020. These both support a birth date of 30 July 1989, like it says in our article. If you think this is not correct and should be changed, you need to make an edit request on the article's talk page (Talk:Yumna Zaidi), and provide a link to the source where you're getting the information so that it can be verified. The source needs to meet our reliable source standards, which generally means we cannot accept social media posts, or websites like IMDb or Wikia which let any user change the information. Mandatory paid editing disclosure

Hello 02ramya95. Bear in mind Google does not cull information just from Wikipedia. It'll also pull information from Wikipedia mirrors (which likely have an old revision with the birthdate), from IMDb (which doesn't fact-chcek), and from various other celebrity "biography" sites. Because you refuse to listen to us when we tell you that the date of birth has been removed wholesale on our end, and we have no control on other websites using it. We have no control over other websites, Google included, and cannot force them to use any date, let alone whatever the correct one is. Again, Google does not get its information exclusively from Wikipedia. It'll pull information from a lot of disparate and unrelated websites, of which Wikipedia is only one of them. This is a known issue with Google itself, and we constantly get requests to remove information that isn't in/has already been removed from our articles because the Knowledge Panel is either out of date or is culling information from non-Wikipedia sources that happen to be incorrect. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v ^{Source assessment notes} 15:12, 8 September 2023 (UTC)

You can trust Wikipedia because the age has been removed from the article. This has been done because there are no reliable sources to confirm it. What you find outside of Wikipedia isn't our concern. We don't like to have unverifiable information in articles, especially biographies of living people. Anything that cannot be cited to a reliable source should be removed. My patience is running out with this. We cannot use these sources. You've been told many times already. No Instagram. No YouTube. No interviews with Yumna Zaidi. Period. Stop posting them.

A reliable source is one that is published, like a newspaper or a magazine or a book, not a celebrity gossip blog, and not social media. It has to say clearly what her exact date of birth is, as in "Yumna Zaidi was born on <date>". It does not have to be in English, as long as it can be translated. You can also read the Arabic version of the reliable sources guideline if that is easier to understand.

If you have a source that meets all of these conditions, please post it and we will review it. If you don't, then stop asking to update it, because we won't. I see that you have added these dates to several other Wikipedias, including the Arabic and Urdu articles on Ms. Zaidi, and did not provide sources which would be suitable on English Wikipedia. You are clearly not listening to what others are repeatedly telling you. Also, you are not blocked from editing anything else on Wikipedia. You are blocked from just one out of millions of articles. If you want to appeal that one thing, do it properly, with an appeal template as instructed in the orange block message on this page above.
