August 2022[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Prince (2022 film) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. It already meets WP:NFF. Please don't move to draft. 103.161.55.63 (talk) 04:48, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please read above. Don't copy/paste move. It's in violation of copyright and license. Adakiko (talk) 04:49, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't copy/paste move. I will expand this article now itself. Please don't revert. 103.161.55.63 (talk) 04:50, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That was not a "expanding of the article", it was a copy/paste which is a license and copyright violation. Adakiko (talk) 04:54, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I will expand. Please give me sometime. 103.161.55.63 (talk) 04:55, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Go through wp:Articles for Creation procedure. The article was deleted as not meeting wp:GNG. It will just get a {{db-g4}} Adakiko (talk) 05:01, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

Who is KrutaX. Is it your another account? Don't speedy deletion. 103.161.55.63 (talk) 04:59, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @103.161.55.63, speedy deletion is what you need here. If you will request speedy deletion on the Prince (2022 film), by writing this {{db-move|[[Draft:Prince (2022 film)]]|reason=passes WP:NFF}} , It'll prompt deleting admin to move your draft into the mainspace, on your request. Thanks Ahated (talk!) 05:13, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Your current way of moving page, by copy/paste content, is considered disruptive here on Wikipedia. Please refrain from doing that. Thanks Ahated (talk!) 05:16, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please also have a look on this Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Prince (2022 Tamil film). This might help you understanding why others are reverting your edits. Thanks Ahated (talk!) 05:20, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I added the tag that you said, but Adakiko is reverting my edit. Please help me. 103.161.55.63 (talk) 05:35, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Don't copy/paste the content followed by adding the db-move. Just add the db-move to the redirect. Adakiko (talk) 05:38, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This was not good advice, Adakiko. Liz Read! Talk! 06:33, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am going to add. Please edit if any mistake is at there. 103.161.55.63 (talk) 05:47, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The draft of this article was rejected and yet you put a move tag on the main space redirect implying that the draft should be moved to main space. This was deceptive and disruptive editing. I'm sorry if you are frustrated by Wikipedia's process for article creation and AFC review and acceptance but our guidelines have developed to what they are over 21 years and they are not going to change for this one article. I'd work on improving the draft to get it approved rather than finding short-cuts around our systems.
