Box office[edit]

The Numbers changed its international gross to $75.7 million before BOM and Deadline changed their gross to $75.9 million.

You'll notice here when I edited the gross of the film from $209.9 million (BOM was incorrectly reporting that as WW gross earlier by including the global gross of $142.9 million as international gross instead) to $142.7 million, I changed the international gross to $75.7 million [1].

When Deadline later updated and corrected its gross, it reported the international gross as $75.9 million. And so did I edit the international gross in the article to $75.9 million [2].

It's just different sources using different estimates, neither is supposed to be really correct in this case. But editors usually the use source with higher amount. Roman Reigns Fanboy (talk) 19:37, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the explanation but the two references provided in the Infobox are from The-Numbers.com and Box Office Mojo and the figures should match the references. Anything else fails WP:V. -- 109.79.175.195 (talk) 19:41, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Before anyone suggests it, I also think doing your own WP:CALC is a terrible idea. -- 109.79.175.195 (talk) 19:44, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you think it's a terrible idea that's your own issue. In a few hours Box Office Mojo is going to update to $152.9 million. It's simply WP:COMMONSENSE because it and The Numbers always have the same domestic gross. Please don't create such unnecessary disputes. Roman Reigns Fanboy (talk) 19:54, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And btw BOM always updates later than The Numbers does. When it does I'll simply have to revert you again. Roman Reigns Fanboy (talk) 19:59, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
WP:V isn't an opinion, you must not add figures that are not clearly verified ... but the change is moot, the figure now being reported by Box Office Mojo does round up to $152.9 million. That's an update not a revert. -- 109.79.175.195 (talk) 22:53, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You choosing what stays and not stays is an opinion. The figures are verified because like I said The Numbers and Box Office Mojo always update to the same domestic gross. It's called WP:COMMONSENSE. A revert is changing back an article to a previous form. Please stop edit warring. BOM updated exactly like I told you it would and it would have been avoided had you tried to listen to others. If you do this next time, I'm simply going to revert you or complain you if you edit war and refuse to discuss. Roman Reigns Fanboy (talk) 04:41, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

October 2022[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Bros (film). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. ––FormalDude (talk) 23:39, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

I wish you'd improve the article instead of insisting a change that more than one editor has removed is "non contraversial". -- 109.79.175.195 (talk) 23:48, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
